Exploring my roots, my academic history, career trajectory, my persona and what makes me who I am.

Feminism is an integral motivator of mine, both in business and in my personal life.

Welcome to my first post. Below I will summarize myself so the reader can have a clearer outlook on who I am, where I came from, and what my aspirations are.

Synopsis: Born and raised in MN, currently a Junior at NDSU, educational focuses in business and sociology. My future career objectives include international travel and creative strategies and coordination. Finally, I am a proud feminist, vegan and activist.

My Roots and Academic History

Hailed from St. Michael, Minnesota, I was raised as a homeschooler - from 2nd to 11th grade. My grandparents were my teachers, and began to instill core values such as self-motivation, dedication, entrepreneurship, ingenuity, and curiosity into me at an early age. As a result, I grew up primarily self-taught and motivated, and graduated at age 15 with a 4.1 GPA. Not wanting me to attend college too early, my parents decided to place me in the public school system for a year. I integrated into the unfamiliar patterns and culture of high school quite easily and graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

Halfway through my 17th year, I attended NDSU as a hopeful freshman, with two declared majors: Business Management and Sociology, plus a minor in Community Development. I was involved in many extra-curricular organizations on and off campus since my beginning here at NDSU, including college Democrats, the WIN Foundation, Horseman's Association and team, International Sociological Committee, Women's Activist Organization, National AgriMarketing Association and the Young Professionals Community Development Organization. I maintain most of these positions in these organizations, although I had to drop out of several due to wanting to maintain my focus on classes.

Currently, I am 19 and a tired but ever-hopeful junior, with an additional major tacked on to my already exhaustive educational path: Economics. I plan on graduating in May of 2021 and then exploring options for grad school somewhere on the West Coast.

My Persona and What Makes Me Who I Am:

I am known for my quiet but affable disposition, my soft heart and my compassion. I am an empath in a world full of cynics - I see beauty in everything and believe in a kinder future. As a result, I am a Vegan, a liberal-leaning individual, a Feminist, and an activist for humans, animals and the environment. As a Vegan, I cut all animal-derived products out of my life to reduce unnecessary violence against all creatures great and small - and to be an ethical consumer for the environment. Politically, I lean more liberal, although I do not necessarily associate with the Democratic party. My political views are radical in some senses, when it boils down to government, the electoral college, capitalism and warfare.

Beyond the political spectrum, I focus on a feministic approach to human rights - advocating for equality and justice for all, reducing poverty, hunger and inequality worldwide and advocating for the improvement of the fight against women's injustices across the globe.

Although I tend to be withdrawn unless situations require me to be outgoing and vivacious, I am still an approachable person - and I notice that people tend to gravitate toward me with all their secrets and problems. Friends and strangers alike praise me for my kindness and empathy, although I simply treat everyone how I believe humans deserve to be treated. I am known to be a healer and an empath - flighty by nature but grounded in mind. However, I do have a knack for words and writing - specifically - poetry and essays. I use writing as an emotional outlet and use it to make sense of my cluttered brain space, and use it to solidify my theories and ideas about the universe and life itself.

Lastly, my love for animals. Where would I be without them? Animals have always been a significant factor in my life, from my dogs to my horses. As aforementioned, I adore all creatures great and small, and I treat them as equals. I don't relish the idea that people see themselves as superior to animals and use them for personal satisfaction and monetary gain, so I do my part by being a Vegan, for the animals. My pets aren't just pets, to me, they are family. We serve as being companions for one another, and walking through life together. My current dog, Ruby, is my service dog - she provides me with constant motivation, comfort and support. When the world comes crashing down, I know she will sit faithfully by my side, and in a sense, I know she understands me like no other. I can say the same for my horse. Ever my go-to therapist, my horse reads my soul and knows what I need by teaching me lessons and always doing what is best for me. His soul aligns with mine, and I am ever so grateful for him.

People tend to be prideful and believe animals are inferior and replaceable, but if we humble ourselves and listen, every animal has a spirit and a language, if only we are quiet and patient enough to understand them.

That's all for this post. Hopefully my reader has gained a sense of who I am and where I am headed. Until next time.
