NAMA: Current Year Plans:

This year seems bright for NAMA here at NDSU. Still reveling in our previous victory as National Champions, we are tackling this year's project with gusto - plant-based dog food. With Veganism ever on the rise and a constant search for sustainability, we turned our attention to this generation, the pet industry, Veganism and the environment. Although we are still in the early stages of formulation and researching, we are confident in our product, which will have a target audience of pet-loving, environmental-conscious millennials and generation Z individuals.

Our focus will be to create a sustainable, delicious, plant-based dog treat for sensitive sidekicks. Many dogs suffer from gluten allergies or other sensitivities, and our goal is to create a nutritious meal that they can enjoy. However, our marketing strategy is more human than canine based - we will be conducting surveys, interviews and researching myriads of resources for data pertaining to canine owners with sensitive dogs, environmentally-conscious individuals with pets, and the general plant-based population. Another challenge we face is figuring out a core foundation for communication - in today's fast-paced world, unfortunately, writing is not a very popular medium, as humanity has lost a significant amount of attention spans. However, we remain hopeful, and in April we plan on being second-year National Champions again!
